My wonderful Grandma, Faye, passed on her love of Madeline to me, so of course it is one of my favorites! She collected Madeline dolls, books, movies, and toys, all of which I delighted in playing with at her house. It’s hard to say, but I think this has to be my favorite children’s book! I remember reading this book in kindergarten with my art class, and falling completely in love with it. We created art projects inspired by Eric Carle’s vibrant, beautiful stories. He has become an author that I hold incredibly close to my heart.
