Who doesn’t love a classic? It’s hard to say, but I think this has to be my favorite children’s book! I remember reading this book in kindergarten with my art class, and falling completely in love with it. We created art projects inspired by Eric Carle’s vibrant, beautiful stories. He has become an author that I hold incredibly close to my heart. As a kid, I always imagined myself eating all of the yummy treats, and I was particularly fond of the sausage.

If you are looking for quick facts about some amazing bugs, this is the book for you! An Anthology of Remarkable Bugs showcases over 90 insects alongside fun facts about their lifecycles, diet, and habitats. You won't find just any bugs in this book, they are all truly remarkable, some of which I had never heard of before reading this book! There are definitely some scary ones in there, such as the Trapdoor Spider, but I find most of them pretty cute. This book was how I discovered one of my favorite bugs, the Orchid Mantis!
