Return Policy

Betty's Books is dedicated to our customers' experience and acknowledge that items occasionally need to be returned. Please review our return policies outlined below and reach out with any questions you may have.

  • With your receipt, you may return or exchange any item in new, undamaged condition for a full refund within 30 days of your purchase. If item came with packaging of any kind, it must include all original tags and packaging.
  • Without a receipt, you may be able to return or exchange your item if purchased with an established account within the past 30 days. If you have no receipt and no account or proof of purchase, an exchange may be permitted upon the manager's discretion.
  • Items with a gift receipt may be exchanged for a different item or store credit if undamaged and in original packaging.
  • If you receive an item for shipping that has been damaged en route, please contact us within 30 days of receiving it so that we can do our best to resolve the issue. Please note that with shipping comes the risk of damage, and Betty's Books is not responsible for carrier damage. We do our best to ensure your items are packed up safely, but there is only so much we can do. 
    • If there is noticeable carrier damage, please consider contacting the shipping service used to file a claim.
  • We will not refund shipping fees and are not responsible for returned item shipping fees. 
  • Special order items that we would not typically stock (for example, a novel, as we only carry comics) and have been ordered specifically at your request may be final sale and may not be able to be returned. 
  • After placing an online order or special order, you will have 30 days to pick up your item(s). We will send out an email when we receive the item, and a reminder email a week before the 30 days are up. If you do not pick up your item within that time frame, you may not be able to claim it, and any refunds will be void.
    • Please check your spam folder if you are expecting an email from us, as some people occasionally have issues with this. We recommend adding hello@bettysbooksstl.com to your email contacts to ensure delivery.
